How It Works

1. self schedule

On the contact page you will find a self scheduling button that takes you to my HIPPA Compliant System that allows a self-scheduling tool.

If you are ready to schedule an intake, you will choose the 60 min. intake session.

If you have any questions or would like to speak by phone first, complete the contact form and I will reach out within 24 business hours.

2. complete the on-boarding documents

Once you have scheduled the intake or consult call, you will receive an email link to the online HIPPA Compliant EHR System - Sessions Health - to complete the on-boarding documents prior to our first session.

3. first session

See you at your first session!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Virtual therapy sessions are offered for women located anywhere in North Carolina. Virtual sessions allow for flexibility and comfort while still doing deep, effective work.

    In-Person Options:

1.) In-Office Session in Wilson, NC

2.) Walk & Talk - Nature Based Sessions in Wilson, NC only. We can meet at a park or another mutually agreed upon location for a walk or to sit in the outdoors for a different therapy experience.

  • I do not accept insurance.

    Why?

I see more than a diagnosis
Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis the first time I meet you to authorize and continue treatment. While diagnoses can be useful, they don’t always tell the full story. I see you — your experiences, nervous system, trauma history, strengths, and context — not just a label.

More flexibility in session length and frequency
Insurance typically limits sessions to 45–60 minutes and often dictates how often therapy can occur. Private pay allows us to choose what actually supports you — whether that’s 60-minute sessions, 90-minute sessions, EMDR intensives, weekly support, or spacing sessions out when needed.

    Greater privacy and confidentiality
When insurance is used, your diagnosis, treatment plans, and session dates become part of your medical record and are accessible to third parties. Private pay allows for more discretion and control over your personal mental health information.

Treatment decisions are between you and me; not an insurance company
Insurance companies can influence what type of therapy is “allowed,” how long we work together, and when treatment should end. Private pay keeps your care guided by your needs and goals — not external policies.

  • This depends greatly on your individual need and goals. We can discuss further what that looks like for you.

  • I specialize in working with women navigating anxiety, trauma, shame, and perfectionism. Many of my clients come to me with this lingering feeling they need to constantly “prove” or “earn” approval/love from others or specific people. My approach integrates EMDR, somatic work, parts work, compassion-focused therapy, and attachment-informed care.
